Terms of service
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the GymComp mobile app (“GymComp”, “the app”), provided by Gurzu Silviu Andrei, an individual developer based in France (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy policy.
1. Who can use GymComp
You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity on your account.
2. Health and safety — please read
GymComp provides general fitness information for healthy adults: training plans, exercise instructions, animated demonstrations and machine identification. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified personal trainer.
- Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise programme, especially if you have a health condition, an injury, are pregnant, or haven’t exercised in a long time.
- Start with light weights, focus on technique, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
- Follow your gym’s rules and ask gym staff to show you how to use equipment safely.
- The machine scanner uses artificial intelligence and can be wrong. Always confirm what a machine is and how to use it before using it.
You exercise at your own risk and are responsible for choosing loads and exercises that are appropriate for you.
3. Subscriptions
- Using GymComp requires a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play and renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- If you start a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions). You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including any applicable right of withdrawal, are not affected.
- We may change prices for future periods. Google Play will notify you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the service, try to access it in unauthorised ways, or interfere with its operation;
- upload photos of other people without their consent, or any unlawful or offensive content;
- copy, resell or redistribute the app’s content (plans, guides, illustrations) outside the app;
- use automated means to access the service or exceed its fair-use limits.
5. Your content
Your workout data belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
6. Our content
The app, its design, training plans, exercise guides and illustrations are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them in the app for your own training.
7. Changes and availability
We work to keep GymComp available and accurate but cannot guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We may update features over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we will tell you in the app; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using GymComp and delete your account at any time (how to delete your account). We may suspend or close accounts that seriously break these terms. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel it in Google Play.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for injuries resulting from exercises performed without following the safety guidance above.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country or in France.
